NewsAgForce Queensland 2010 Conference 17-19 September 2010 Taggle co-founder, Gordon Foyster, was invited to speak at the conference held in Rockhampton and delivered a presentation on the benefits of the Taggle technology in cattle tags and water meter telemetry. The conference was well attended by beef, sheep and grain growers from Queensland, with speakers such as Queensland Premier (Anna Bligh), the Federal Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (Joe Ludwig), the president of the National Farmers Federation (David Crombie) and various researchers and industry representatives. Taggle wins at NSW Tech23 Awards Taggle Systems won the Outstanding Collaboration for Innovation Award, a $25,000 prize for the company best demonstrating active engagement in a business partnership or collaboration contributing to the development of their innovation. The NSW Government sponsored $150,000 in prizes for Tech23, which was organised by Slattery IT and supported by Industry & Investment NSW and its Australian Technology Showcase (ATS) and Innovation Pathways programs. Spatially Enabled Livestock Management Symposium Taggle CEO, Chris Andrews, made a presentation at this 1st Australian and New Zealand symposium well attended by livestock producers and researchers. Taggle's Rural Marketing Manager, Gordon Foyster, also attended and provided interested delegates with background technical information. The symposium was enabled by the support and resources of the CRC for Spatial Information II (CRCS12), established and supoprted under the Australian Government's Cooperative Research Centres Program, and Meat & Livestock Australia and CRCS1-2. Taggle wins Telstra selection as an innovative business Taggle was one of five new and innovative businesses that Telstra would provide expertise and support to, in the inaugural Telstra External Research and Development Program. Their selection ends a six month judging process looking for Australian research projects that will potentially provide a benefit to Australian industry, business and consumers by drawing on Telstra's networks and technology products. Telstra is providing assistance via technical assistance, help in meeting key vendor partners and access to Telstra world-class networks, services, facilities and internal experts. John O'Sullivan awarded Prime Minister's Prize for Science 2009 Taggle Director and Board Member, John O'Sullivan, was awarded the prestigious Prime Minister's Prize for Science. John, who has a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sydney, won Australia’s greatest scientific honour for his many achievements in astronomy and wireless technologies. Taggle launchesTaggle cattle-tags at Beef Australia 2009 Taggle's stand at Australia's biggest beef exposition attracted a lot of interest from beef producers from all parts of Australia. The management team demonstrated prototypes and discussed with producers how the Taggle system could be of benefit in a wide range of rural applications.
